Nav Canada Plans to Implement ADS-B in Hudson Bay Area Late Next Year
Nav Canada plans to implement ADS-B (automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast) at high altitudes in the Hudson Bay area on November 20, 2008.

GAO: Rate of U.S. Runway Incursions Isn't Decreasing
In a new report on runway safety, the U.S. Government Accounting Office (GAO) states the rate of runway incursions hasn't decreased over the last five years, in spite of the FAA's efforts.

NTSB Recommending Fire Suppression Systems on All Cargo Airplanes
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is recommending that the FAA require all cargo airplanes operating under Part 121 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations install fire suppression systems.  The Board says its recommendation is a result of its investigation of a UPS DC-8 cargo fire in Philadelphia last year.
