Gulfstream Aerospace says it has flown an experimental G450 test aircraft using a SVS (synthetic vision

Eurocontrol Council Agrees to Create a Performance-Based ATM System
Eurocontrol's 38 member states have agreed to create a performance-based ATM (air traffic management) system for Europe and adopted
targets for safety, capacity and delays and cost-efficiency.
Honeywell to Support European ATM Research Project
The European Commission has
awarded Honeywell a contract to support its development of an automated ATM (air
traffic management) system in Europe based on advanced airborne CNS
(communication, navigation and surveillance) technologies.
Era and HITT to Provide Surveillance over Part of North Sea
The Dutch air navigation service provider (ANSP), Luchtverkeersleiding Nederland (LVNL) has selected Era

NTSB Includes Runway Excursions in "Ten Most Wanted" Safety List
The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) included the prevention of runway
excursions along with its previous runway incursions in its updated "Most
Wanted List" of safety improvements. The inclusion creates a new recommendation
rubric of "Improve Runway Safety."
Emirates Airlines to Equip Fleet with Honeywell Runway Safety System
Emirates Airlines will equip its entire Boeing and Airbus fleet with Honeywell's RAAS
(runway awareness and advisory system) to increase its pilot's situational

AeroTech Offering Fuel-Saving Wing Modification for B-737 Classics
AeroTech Services is introducing a wing modification for B-737 Classics, which it says
can reduce fuel consumption and emissions by up to four percent under typical
flight conditions.
Qatar Airways Ops for Several Rockwell Collins' Systems on New B-777s
Qatar Airways has selected a number of Rockwell Collins' avionics systems for its 20 new
B-777s, including Rockwell's MultiScan hazard detection.
