Aspen Avionics is introducing what it calls, "the most innovative - and affordable - glass
cockpit system ever for certified general aviation aircraft," with a modular
architecture that is expandable and upgradeable, making it "easy to afford,
easy to install and easy to own."
Honeywell Developing New GA Multi-Function Display
Honeywell is developing a new MFD (multi function display) for general aviation that will incorporate
GPS and WAAS (wide area augmentation system) capability as well as a new
software-based VHF radio for communications and navigation.
Avidyne Expands Safety Suite with Weather Datalink Receiver
Avidyne Corporation is introducing a datalink designed to receive WSI weather information, which further expands the range of
safety-related weather options available for its MFD (multi-function display)
products. The unit is also capable of receiving SIRIUS satellite radio
programming.
New Chelton Flight Systems ADAHRS Certified
The FAA granted Chelton Flight Systems a TSO (technical
standard order) and STC (supplemental type certificate) for a digital air data
