Honeywell Says its Integrated PFD Might Include Expanded Capabilities
Honeywell said at this year's European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) that future versions of its IPFD (integrated primary flight display) could include expanded functionality such as 3D airport maps.

Lynx Aviation Selects Rockwell Collins Head-up Guidance for Q400s
Lynx Aviation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Frontier Holdings, will install Rockwell Collins' HGS (head-up guidance system) on its fleet of Bombardier Q400s.  The first aircraft should have the equipment installed by the end of July.

L-3 Avionics Gets STC for Infrared Imaging on King Air C-90
The FAA has granted L-3 Avionics Systems (L-3 Avionics), a subsidiary of L-3 Communications, a STC (supplemental type certificate) for its IRIS infrared imaging system on the King Air C-90, which L-3 intends to expand to other aircraft.

Gulfstream Selects Rockwell Collins as Future HGS Supplier
Gulfstream Aerospace will feature a new Rockwell Collins' HGS (head-up guidance system) as standard equipment on its G450 and G550 aircraft, and optional equipment on its G150, G200, G350 and G500 models starting in 2009.

Honeywell received TSO (technical standard order) approval for its latest retrofit version of its Primus Epic control display system that will enable the viewing of electronic charts and weather information delivered via satellite.

Nav Canada to Install Head-Up Guidance on Flight Inspection Aircraft
Nav Canada will install Rockwell Collins' HGS (head-up guidance system) on two of its Bombardier CRJ flight inspection aircraft to use during its ILS (instrument landing system) and en-route navigation facility checks.  The Canadian ANSP (air navigation service provider) also intends to use the system to evaluate how HGS technology might contribute to future functional and safety applications.

Jet-Care and Honeywell have launched a fault code reporting service for the Honeywell TFE731 DEEC (digital electronic engine control) which will be offered as an addition to Jet-Care's existing engine performance trend monitoring program.
