ITT Corporation has selected All Weather, Inc. (AWI) to supply 62 AWOS (automated weather observing systems) that will be co-located with ITT's ADS-B (automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast) ground stations on oil drilling platforms in the Gulf of Mexico and various sites in Alaska.

NATS to Use Barco's Arrival Management System at London Airports
Barco will integrate its arrival management software with the existing air traffic control system at London's Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Stansted and City airports, under a contract with NATS, the U.K.'s ANSP (air navigation service provider).

 

Honeywell to Provide A350XWB's Flight Management and Surveillance Systems
Airbus will use Honeywell's FMS (flight management system) and AEES (aircraft environment surveillance system) on its new long-range, wide-body A350XWB.

Continental, Boeing and GE Aviation to Demonstrate Use of Biofuel
Continental Airlines, Boeing and GE Aviation plan to conduct a biofuels demonstration flight in the first half of 2009 in an effort to identify sustainable fuel solutions for aviation use.
