Italy's ATC to Get New Adacel Tower
Simulators
Italy's air
traffic authority, ENAV (Ente
Nazionale de
Assistenza AI Volo), has
contracted with Adacel for two new air traffic control tower
simulators to be installed at ENAV's aviation training college in
Rome.
ENAV sees
Adacel’s new 270 degree
MaxSim 3-D tower simulators with a 270 degree field of view and
integrated voice recognition automation capability, as a way to
significantly augment its controller training, and will supplement
the four existing Adacel tower simulators already in use.
According to
Adacel, MaxSim provides speaker independent voice recognition, high
fidelity visuals, comprehensive weather effects and environmental
sound effects designed to enhance ATC training and research.
