Aerosim Technologies Offering Cockpit Training Software Directly to Pilots
Aerosim Technologies has created a new division to bring pilot training software directly to corporate flight departments and individual pilots via CD-ROMs. The aids are designed for pilots that want additional training in advanced technologies and systems that are common in modern "glass" cockpits.
The new unit, called FlyAerosim, intends to primarily serve business and general aviation pilots who are seeking a better understanding of modern systems such as GPS, FMS (flight management), EFIS (electronic flight instruments), and new displays for primary flight instruments (PFDs) and multiple functions (MFDs).
Complete free play simulations are currently available for avionics from Honeywell, Universal, Rockwell Collins, and Smiths Industries, and aircraft specific products are available for several types including, the Lear 45, Challenger 604, and the Boeing Business Jet. FlyAerosim also is developing training products for the Garmin G1000, Avidyne’s Entegra, and other general aviation systems.
