Three More Airlines Opt for Lido Systems' Airport Obstacle Database

Amiri Flight, Royal Jordanian and Free Bird Airlines will use an airport obstacle database from Lufthansa Systems that is used along with aircraft weight, runway length, and environmental data, to determine takeoff performance settings.

The Lido Airport/Obstacle database, which is part of Lufthansa Systems' Airline Performance Services, not only is used to calculate take-off performance data, according to Lufthansa, but also is used to create tailored engine-out procedures, and to optimize both payload and safety for engine-out standard instrument departures (EOSIDs).  09-08-2004.
