The Brisbane Aviation Training Centre, a 4,200-square meter facility, which can accommodate up to 250 trainees per day, will initially serve Virgin Blue Airlines, Boeing Business Jet operators, and carriers in Australia and the nearby Pacific and Asian regions. The facility currently houses a pair of B-737-800 and B-737-700/-800/-BBJ simulators, both of which are full-flight and certified to CASA (Australia Civil Aviation Authority) Level "D" standards. The center also has a number of briefing and training rooms with advanced learning tools, including workstations equipped with self-guided, computer-based training and desk-top maintenance training aids. There is also a drill room for cabin crews with an emergency exit slide, raft and a replica of an aircraft interior. The Brisbane Aviation Training Centre is one of several facilities Alteon plans throughout the Australasia Pacific region. It joins existing Alteon training centers in Kunming, P.R.C.; Seoul, Korea; and its affiliate centre in Singapore.
