US Airways plans to sell 28 Embraer 170s to Republic Airways to increase liquidity as it completes its Chapter 11 restructuring and eventual merger with America West Airlines.  The regional jets will continue to operate as US Airways Express.  06-27-2005.

Shenzhen Airlines selected Rockwell Collins’ GLU-920 multi-mode receiver and WXR-2100 MultiScan hazardous weather detection system, along with other sensors and satellite communications for six new A319s/A320s.  06-27-2005.

Austrian Airlines retired its last MD-83.  06-27-2005.

GoJet Airlines took delivery of the first of 10 CRJ700s it has on order, along with 40 options.  The Trans States Airlines' affiliate will operate the aircraft as a United Express regional operator.  06-27-2005.

Iberia took delivery of its 13th A321. The airline now operates 80 A320 family aircraft.  06-27-2005.

Vietnam Airlines ordered four B-787-8s for delivery in 2009 and 2010.  The carrier also agreed to purchase rights for 11 additional aircraft between 2010 and 2013.  06-27-2005.

The FAA certified Cessna's Model 525 Citation CJ1+.  06-27-2005.

China Eastern Airlines ordered six B-737-700 blended winglet shipsets from Aviation Partners Boeing that will be installed between February and August 2006.  06-27-2005.

Germanwings ordered 18 A319s and took options for 12 more.  The airline currently operates 15 A319s and five A320s.  06-20-2005.

Air Europa ordered 18 B-737-800s, powered by CFM56-7B engines, plus took options for 12 more.  The Spanish carrier will start taking delivery of the aircraft in 2007.  It currently operates 27 737-800s and two 737-400s.  06-20-2005.

Air Canada cancelled an order for 18- B777s and 14 B-787s that were subject to approval by the Air Canada Pilots Association after the union rejected the tentative agreement.   Besides the 18 B-777 firm orders, the airline had purchase rights for 18 more.  06-20-2005.

GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS) contracted to purchase 20 Embraer 190s with conversion rights to 195s.  The commercial aircraft leasing company will take delivery of the aircraft beginning in mid‑2006.  06-20-2005.

Tampa Cargo will lease up to four B-767-200SFs, with an unspecified number of options, from Cargo Aircraft Management after the passenger-to-freighter conversions of the aircraft are completed by Aeronavali.  The first two aircraft should be delivered in September and December.  06-20-2005.

China Southern Airlines took delivery of its fourth and last A330, for now.  06-20-2005.

Fractional provider Avantair has added two new Beechcraft Premier Is to its fleet.  06-20-2005.

Kingfisher Airlines ordered five A380s, five A350-800s and five A330-200s.  The airline previously ordered 10 A320s and three A319s plus options for a further 10.  The A330 deliveries will begin in the third quarter of 2007, the A380s in 2010 and the A350s in 2012.  06-20-2005.

GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS) signed a letter of intent for a firm order for 10 A350s subject to Airbus launching the program.  The GECAS LOI covers the dash 800 with the option to convert some or all to the larger dash 900 version. Deliveries are due to start in 2010, with some in 2011, and the remainder in 2012.  06-20-2005.

Alaska Airlines ordered 35 B-737-800s and took options for an additional 15.  The carrier also took purchase rights for another 50 airplanes.  All the airplanes on firm order are to be delivered between 2006 and 2011.  Alaska now operates f 22 B-737-700s, two B-737-800s and 12 B-737-900s.  06-20-2005.

Finnish commuter, Finncomm Airlines, ordered eight ATR 42-500s and took options for eight more.  The eight firm aircraft will be delivered between late 2005 and the end of 2007.  06-20-2005.

International Lease Finance Corp. (ILFC) ordered 20 B-737-700s/-800s, six B-777-300ERs and two B-777-200ERs.  The 777 deliveries will begin late next year and extend into 2008.  The 737s will be delivered in 2008.  06-20-2005.

Sterling Airlines says it will lease two B-767-300s for its winter schedule.  06-20-2005.

SkyEurope took delivery of four former easyJet B-737-300s in May.  06-20-2005.

FlyBE has converted four Q400 options into firm orders.  Delivery of the aircraft, coupled with the order for 20 Q400 aircraft, announced in January of this year, will increase the FlyBE’s Q400 fleet to 45.  06-20-2005.

AirAsia has selected CFM56-5B engines to power the 100 A320s scheduled to begin joining its fleet this December.  06-20-2005.

GECAS purchased 20 B-737NGs from Boeing for delivery from 2006 into 2008.  GECAS also said it was the customer for 12 Boeing 737s ordered last year that were attributed to an unidentified party.  06-20-2005.

SkyEurope ordered 16 B-737-700 blended winglet shipsets with options for 16 more.  The winglets will be purchased by GECAS and installed by Boeing in February 2006.  06-20-2005.

Raytheon Models to Include Rockwell Collins' Avionics Upgrades  06-20-2005.

GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS) is expanding its passenger-to-freighter conversion program to include four B-747-400 freighters that will be converted by Israel Aircraft Industries.  EVA Airways will lease the first three aircraft from GECAS operations in Singapore following a purchase and leaseback transaction with GECAS.  EVA has an option to convert the fourth, which they expect to exercise shortly.  Delivery of the first converted aircraft is scheduled for the spring of 2007.  06-13-2005.

Nippon Cargo Airlines took delivery of the first of four new B747-400Fs.  The carrier ordered three 747-400Fs in January 2004 and added another order in April 2005.  06-13-2005.

The FAA awarded Aviation Partners Boeing an STC (supplemental type certificate) for blended winglets on B-757-200s.  06-13-2005.

Shenzhen Airlines took delivery of its first of five B-737-900s.  06-13-2005.

Polish startup charter carrier Fischer Air took delivery of the first of two PW2040-powered B-757-200s.  06-13-2005.

Precision Conversions was granted a STC (supplemental type certificate) its B-757-200PCF freighter conversion by FAA.  06-13-2005.

South Korea-based Jeju Air placed a firm order for five Q400s and took options on another three.  06-13-2005.

Executive Jet Management (EJM) added a Citation X and a Falcon 900EX to its charter fleet in April and May 2005.  06-13-2005.

Ethiopian Airlines exercised purchase rights for five more B-787s, bringing its total orders for the aircraft to ten.  06-13-2005.

Pemco World Air Services converted and delivered a B-737-300 Quick Change aircraft to CIT Aerospace.  The aircraft will be leased to Titan Aerospace, a European charter airline.  06-07-2005.

Transmile Air took delivery of the third of four converted MD-11Fs from Focus Aviation on behalf of Central Air Leasing.  The conversion was done by Singapore's SASCO.  06-07-2005.

FlyBE placed firm orders for 14 GE CF34-powered Embraer 195s, along with options for 12 more.  Deliveries will begin in August 2006 and continue to November 2007.  06-07-2005.

Continental Airlines first B-757-200 aircraft equipped with Aviation Partners Boeing Blended Winglets has entered revenue service.  06-07-2005.

Air France took delivery of a new GE90-115B-powered B-777-328ER from ILFC, its sixth B-777 from the lessor.  06-07-2005.
