Wingspeed's Airborne Communications System Certified on ABX Air B-767s The FAA has granted ABX Air a STC (supplemental type certificate) for the installation of Wingspeed Corporation's voice and data communication system on its B-767-200 SFs (special freighters). Wingspeed's open XFIA (XLLink flight information architecture) airborne network platform can host a range of flight deck and cabin applications. When combined with Wingspeed's XLLink global communications network, it can integrate multiple sub-networks such as VHF (very high frequency), Iridium Satellite, and airport based Wi-Fi. 03-11-2008. |
