Wildcat Helicopters to Use SkyTrac Systems Flight Following and Satcom

Wildcat Helicopters of Kelowna, British Columbia, will use SkyTrac Systems to provide flight following and Iridium satellite communications for its rotor aircraft fleet.

Ian Wilson, Wildcat Helicopters' general manager said his company made its decision because the SkyTrac's system was already STC (supplemental type certificate) approved, had global real-time voice and text capabilities, and Internet-based tracking software.

Besides flight tracking reports, SkyTrac's software applications include proprietary mapping, the adaptation of Google Earth to show an aircraft's last geographical position, and new worldwide, remote Web-accessed monitoring capability called SkyWeb.

SkyTrac says its hardware installations are approved by Transport Canada, the FAA and EASA, and exceed AFF (automatic flight following) requirements in both the U.S, and Canada.  05-19-2007.
