Westchester County Department of Public Safety Implements PASSUR

PASSUR Aerospace, formerly Megadata Corporation, says that New York's Westchester County Airport Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has implemented a PASSUR program that monitors all aircraft in its airspace in real time and provides playback and analysis of any pertinent abnormal events.

The application, called Rapid Response, is driven by the PASSUR radar network and live aviation database to provide emergency personnel the information needed to respond proactively. Beyond that it can immediately replay the events with a level of precision, specificity and detail, which Westchester officials believe can further improve the efficiency and safety of their airport operations.

Stockholders of Megadata Corporation voted at the company's annual meeting on April 16, 2008 to change the company's name to PASSUR Aerospace, Inc.  04-28-2008.
