Two More European Airlines Select AirWorks Cockpit Door Surveillance
Two
European airlines, City Line, and First Choice Airlines,
along with Aircraft Management Solutions, a U.K.
maintenance and engineering provider, have ordered
cockpit door surveillance systems (CDSS) from the
AirWorks division of Global ePoint.
City
Line will install
CDSS on 12 new CRJ900s it has ordered from
Bombardier. The German regional carrier already has the
system installed on its BAE RJ-85s, CRJ100s, 200s, and
700s. The U.K.'s First Choice, which operates CDSS-equipped
A320s, B-757s, and B-767s out of Manchester, will put
CDSS on two additional 767s, along with one 757 and one
A320. Aircraft Management Solutions has ordered an A330
CDSS kit, which will be installed by AirWorks.
Global ePoint says CDSS is already installed on over 800
aircraft worldwide. Its AirWorks division provides CDSS
for all Airbus models, all Bombardier regional jets,
British Aerospace regional jets, and all Boeing models
with the exception of the 727 and 717. 02-11-2006.
