Two More Airlines Order Boeing's Maintenance Toolbox
Transavia France and Condor have ordered Boeing's Web-based maintenance support application to help their
technicians manage their documents and record their activities.
Transavia will use all five modules of the
Maintenance Performance Toolbox, including Structures, Systems, Library,
Authoring, and Tasks, to support its B-737s. Condor will use Toolbox's Library
and Authoring modules to help maintain its fleet of 22 B-757s and 767s.
Users access Toolbox via an Internet browser, so only a connection through a laptop, desktop or pen tablet
computer, and a password, are necessary to use the system. Condor will access
its tools through Boeing's
MyBoeingFleet secure Internet portal.
Boeing says thirty-five carriers have acquired Toolbox since the first customer signed up in late 2005.
