TrueNorth to Offer "Premier" Communications Handset to Business Aviation TrueNorth Avionics says it's ready to offer its "premier" handset for business aviation operators who use Inmarsat connectivity following a successful completion of integration testing of a HSD (high-speed data) terminal and antenna system, which Chelton is supplying. TrueNorth's Simphone (pronounced 'symphony') airborne telecommunications system has an open architecture designed to enable connectivity with a variety of networks and equipment. Chelton's HSD-terminal-and-antenna equipment package gives operators an easy-to-install, always-on link for worldwide data communications, TrueNorth says. Chelton's HSD system is available through TrueNorth's dealer network, and broadband service is available through a number of service providers. 12-10-2007. |
