Thales to Use Teledyne's Data Acquisition on New Sukhoi Superjet

Teledyne Controls will supply Thales with a customized multi-function IFDMU (integrated flight data management unit) designed to perform flight data acquisition, aircraft condition monitoring and data recording, on the new Sukhoi SuperJet 100.  Thales is the standard data acquisition system supplier for the aircraft.

Like Teledyne's FDIMU (flight data interface management unit), the IFDMU combines the functions of systems that are traditionally separated into a single LRU (line replaceable unit), which reduces required wiring and rack space, and lowers the overall weight and cost.

The Superjet 100 is a regional jet being manufactured by Sukhoi Civil Aircraft, a unit of Sukhoi Company (JSC), Russia's major aircraft holding company.  Its first test flight of the Superjet 100 is scheduled for this coming September, and its first aircraft delivery is scheduled for the end of 2008.  03-30-2007.
