Spectro and Jet-Care Seeing Growing Demand for Engine Oil Analysis
Spectro and its
sister-company Jet-Care International say they are experiencing increased
demand for their oil and debris analysis programs in Europe and the United
States.
David Glass, Spectro's
founder and CEO, attributes the growth to the fact that both manufacturers
and operators recognize the programs' potential to diagnose a problem before
it becomes an expensive maintenance issue.
Today, the laboratories
of the two companies are analyzing samples from OEMs such as Honeywell,
Turbomeca, Eurocopter, Williams International and Pratt & Whitney, and major
operators as well. More than 40,000 engines, in over 80 countries are
involved.
Spectro and
Jet Care's Engine Condition Health Online (ECHO) application emails
participating operators each time their oil samples are analyzed with the
results and trend data. If particular concerns are raised from a specific
analysis result, the laboratory warns operators immediately by telephone.
ECHO's trending
information also allows operators to make more informed decisions regarding
overhaul, maintenance, parts procurement and other planning and purchasing
decisions, the companies believe. 05-20-2007. |
