Spectralux's GPS WAAS Sensor Being Used in Two More GA Programs
Eclipse Aviation and L3 Avionics Systems have chosen Spectralux Corporation's WAAS (wide area augmentation system) sensor for navigation systems. These
developments follow Chelton Flight Systems' earlier decision to use the system
in its satellite navigation receiver.
Eclipse Aviation will use Spectralux's
NexNav WAAS Class Beta-3 sensor as a component in its
Avio NG
on the Eclipse 500 very light jet, and L-3 Avionics Systems will use it to
provide augmented GPS position, velocity and time to it
SmartDeck
integrated flight controls and display system.
Spectralux describes its NexNav receiver card assemblies and LRUs (line
replaceable units) as key technologies for enabling LPV (localizer performance
with vertical guidance) approaches, constant descent approach procedures, as
well as future runway incursion prevention and ADS-B (automatic dependent
surveillance-broadcast) applications.
NexNav is a product of a strategic partnership between Spectralux and
