Skyservice Airlines Opts for SITA's International Passenger Vetting Service
Canadian-based Skyservice Airlines will use SITA's APIS AQQ (advance passenger information quick query)
application to simplify the processing of its international passengers traveling
to the U.S. APIS AQQ was approved by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in February.
APIS AQQ allows the DHS to take control of vetting passenger names against
the U.S. government's terrorist watch list, prior to departure of aircraft, and
automatically deliver authority to airlines to issue, or deny a boarding pass at check-in.
SITA says it is the first IT provider to receive U.S. government approval to transmit passenger data in this way.
The fully-integrated passenger management system also includes reservations and departure control services. In
addition, the airline has contracted with SITA for a global managed
infrastructure which includes connectivity, LAN (local area equipment), and
desktop equipment. 05-08-2008. |
