Skybus Airlines Selects Flight Explorer's Integrated Flight Operations Tool Skybus Airlines has selected Flight Explorer's Professional Edition integrated flight tracking and management decision-support tool for its operational control staff. FE's Professional combines ASD (aircraft situation display) flight following information with dynamic weather overlays, situational alerts, predictive weather information, and air traffic tools, to help airline managers optimize the operation of their flights. Brian D. Smith, Skybus Airlines' director of operations control described FE's Professional as the "most advanced and scalable" technology of its type currently being offered. FE says its Professional customer base now includes over 80 percent of North American major airlines and 22 of the top 30 regional airlines, with an installed base of over 2,000 systems. 05-03-2007. |
