SkyTrac Releases New Version of Web-Based Flight Following

SkyTrac is releasing a new version of its Web-based software for aircraft following that has interactive mapping overlaid with satellite imagery and pertinent data.

The company's latest release of SkyWeb allows users to:

  • View an aircraft's flight path and current position.

  • Send and receive text messages to and from the aircraft.

  • View and print position report details.

  • Activate a "Follow Me" feature that draws attention to new position reports.

  • Immediately identify aircraft status by the use of color coding.

  • Receive remote notification of events by email or mobile phone.

  • Differentiate between total flight time and air time.

  • Create, modify and delete secure accounts to which all or part of a fleet can be assigned.

  • Comply with emerging AFF (automatic flight following) requirements with automated data forwarding.
