Singapore Airlines to Use Jeppesen EFB Applications and Data

Singapore Airlines will use Jeppesen EFB (electronic flight bag) applications and operational data, including aircraft performance calculations, as well as traditional paper charts.

Jeppesen already provides Singapore with class-3 EFB services for their new and retrofitted B-777s, and their A380s; it will also provide class-1 EFB services for the airline's B-747s in the near future.

Singapore Airlines will implement Jeppesen's EFB applications for its terminal charts, airport moving map, onboard performance tool, and document viewer. It also will use Jeppesen's online Data Distribution and Management system to receive its EFB data and manage its software configuration, online.

Jeppesen is a subsidiary of Boeing Commercial Aviation Services, a unit of Boeing Commercial Airplanes.  01-28-2008.
