Rockwell Collins Offering Satcom Enhancements

Rockwell Collins says it has enhanced its satcom systems to be compliant with the latest SwiftBroadband specifications in order to increase their functionality and reliability.

Existing SAT-906 and SAT-2100/6100 systems can be upgraded to the new SAT-906Bs and SAT-2100B/6100Bs via a service bulletin, the company says.

In order to provide customers with a turnkey satcom, Rockwell Collins is also offering its own line of ARINC 781 high- and intermediate-gain antennas designed specifically to meet SwiftBroadband specifications, which are the result of its strategic relationships with Chelton and EMS SATCOM. The antennas, SwiftBroadband equipment and service bulletins will be available beginning in the second quarter of 2008.  06-10-2007.
