Rockwell Collins LCD HUD Certified for Business Aircraft Rockwell Collins' LCD (liquid crystal display) HGS (head-up guidance system) has been certified for business aircraft. LCD projection offers improved brightness and image resolution for EVS and SVS (enhanced and synthetic vision displays), Rockwell Collins says, and its digital display makes adding future technologies easier, because it can seamlessly integrate multiple image sources while maintaining a clear view of the primary flight symbology. It also allows for the future development of hybrid solutions, according to Rockwell. The first system will make its debut on the Dassault Falcon 7X as the HGS-5860. Previous Rockwell Collins' HGS models have been certified on the Dassault Falcon 900DX, 900EX, 2000 and 2000EX. 05-24-2007. |
