Rockwell Collins Acquiring Evans & Sutherland's Simulation Business
Rockwell Collins has
agreed to acquire the military and commercial simulation assets of Evans
& Sutherland.
Evans & Sutherland, based Salt Lake City, produces hardware and
software to generate, project and display images used for simulation,
training, engineering, and other applications for both military and
commercial systems. It will keep its digital theater, planetarium, and
dome imaging business.

Collins' chairman, president and CEO, said the acquisition will further
