Rannoch Acquires BAE's Airport Noise and Operations Monitoring System
Rannoch Corporation has
acquired BAE System's airport noise and operations monitoring system (NOMS),
known has TAMIS, which is deployed at some of the world's largest airports
including Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix, Baltimore, and New York.
The TAMIS product group
installed its first fully integrated NOMS in 1974, followed by the first
secure Web-based NOMS software,
eTAMIS, in 2002.
In October of this year,
Rannoch
acquired ERA a. s., which expanded its capabilities in ADS-X (extended
automatic dependent surveillance) multilateration and ADS-B (automatic
dependence surveillance-broadcast) flight tracking for air traffic control,
military and airport operations. It sees this acquisition as adding further
to its related offerings.
Rannoch says eTAMIS was
an attractive addition to its product portfolio because of its proven
Web-based NOMS software that includes a powerful reporting engine and
graphical tools which correlate various flight, noise, weather, and
complaint metrics.
Dave Ellison, Rannoch's
president and CEO, said that by combining eTAMIS with his company's ADS-X
technology, Rannoch will be able to provide its customers with real-time
accurate flight tracking data, combined "with the most powerful
analytical tools for flight and noise analysis."
The eTAMIS product will
now form the basis of a new
Rannoch AirScene NOMS product offering. 12-13-2006. |
