Quintiq Introducing New Aviation Planning and Scheduling Software
Quintiq is launching a new integrated suite of applications
to help airlines and airports plan, schedule and manage aircraft, flight crews,
gates and ground staff in real time. The Brussels airport already has purchased
its scheduling and planning tools.
The
Quintiq Aviation Planning & Optimization Solution has planning modules,
based on KPIs (key performance indicators), for each of these functions that can
stand alone or be fully integrated with other modules.
All aspects of planning are included in the aviation suite, Quintiq says, including fleet, crew, ground staff and airport resources. It
enables planning across multiple structures, taking into consideration multiple
planning levels and multiple resources, a capability that is unique to its
approach - and it handles what-if scenarios.
Advanced real-time event management and dispatching, with
revision management is also fully supported, according to Quintiq.
Brussels Airport recently selected Quinteq's software to help it improve the
capacity of its check-in desks and gates. The tool also automatically
accounts for a number of other airport variables, including the special requirements of individual airlines.
Quintiq expects its entire suite of aviation applications be fully operational by the end of
2008. 07-29-2007. |
