Qatar Airways Ops for Several Rockwell Collins' Systems on New B-777s
Qatar Airways has selected a number of Rockwell Collins' avionics systems for its 20 new B-777s, including Rockwell's MultiScan hazard detection. Rockwell Collins' WXR-2100 MultiScan is unique in that it identifies actual weather hazards, not simply atmospheric moisture content, out to 320 nautical miles. Qatar also chose Rockwell Collins' TCAS (traffic collision avoidance system) and SAT-2100 satellite navigation with dual SwiftBroadband and the full suite of CNS (communications, navigation and sensors). 11-12-2007. |
