Qantas Selects Maintenix Maintenance Software

Qantas has selected Mxi Technologies' Maintenix software to replace its legacy maintenance system fleet wide.

The Australian airline sees benefits from a single, integrated source of information, tailored to its needs, which will permit the removal of unnecessary repetition and waste, while at the same time allowing for higher quality data, ease of use, and improved decision making.

Qantas will implement the software in three parallel phases including an A380 implementation to accommodate new technologies. Another will provide functionality to support technical services, maintenance services, aircraft customer services, supply chain, and finance and strategy groups within Qantas Engineering, while the third will focus on overhauling current MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) processes.

The Qantas decision follows a similar action taken by Air Canada earlier this month. 04-19-2008.
