Peel Airports Group Contracts for Raytheon Radar at Liverpool

The U.K.'s Peel Airports Group has contracted with Raytheon Systems Limited (RSL) for a primary airport surveillance radar system at Liverpool's John Lennon Airport.

The Liverpool radar will be RSL's ASR-10SS Mk 2 S-Band model that is similar to a system that Peel Airports recently purchased for its Robin Hood Airport at Doncaster Sheffield.  These airports, along with Farnborough, are three privately-owned U.K. airports that have acquired current technology, solid-state radar systems, according to Raytheon.  01-14-2006.
