Omnisec Introducing New Satcom Security

Omnisec, in partnership with Inmarsat, Thrane & Thrane and Tandberg, is introducing security solutions for several types of satellite communications over Inmarsat's BGAN (broadband global network), anywhere in the world.

The Swiss-based company says its proprietary Omnicrypt Security Architecture (OSA) will integrate seamlessly into any modern architecture, to protect the security of voice, facsimile and data communications over satellite networks, and have been validated for the following applications:

• Voice communication using its Omnisec 222 secure telephone encryptor.

• Encrypted VoIP (voice over-Internet protocol).

• Fax transmission using its Omnisec 525 facsimile encryptor.

• Secure messaging using its FMT 512 (field message terminal).

• IP VPN (Internet protocol virtual private network)-dedicated, encrypted networking using its Omnisec 420 series.

• Encrypted video conferencing over an IP-based network.
