NavAero Receives STC for Class-2 EFB on MD-80s NavAero has received a STC (supplemental type certificate) for its class-2 tBagC22 EFB (electronic flight bag) on MD82s, 83s and 87s. The STC was executed by navAero in cooperation with U.S. Technical and Allegiant Airlines. Allegiant plans to deploy the EFB hardware on its MD-80s. The t•BagC22 can be used during all phases of flight, and can run airline-specific software applications, navAero says, including such things as real-time weather services, as well as functions such as video surveillance, automated security, document libraries, and a wide range of applications for moving data on-to and off-of the aircraft. 01-22-2008. |
