NASA Awards Sensis NextGen Research Contract Sensis Corporation's Seagull Technology Center has won a NASA Research Announcement (NRA) project to use its airspace modeling and simulation capabilities to assess America's NextGen concepts and provide data to help guide its implementation. The project, "Linking Airspace Modeling and Simulation Tools of Variable Fidelity and System Scope," integrates previously created, specialized airspace and air traffic control models into a system-wide simulation that will be employed to analyze potential future technology, infrastructure and procedural changes. Sensis says Seagull has modeling and simulation services that can generate current and future air traffic demand scenarios; provide nationwide-wide or regional simulations to evaluate current and future air traffic management concepts; and analyze and visualize simulation results. 04-08-2008. |
