Mitsubishi Picks Rockwell Collins Avionics for New Regional Jet
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has selected Rockwell Collins' Pro Line Fusion avionics suite for its new
Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ). Rockwell will also serve as the avionics system
integrator for the MRJ program.
Pro Line Fusion is an integrated flight
deck featuring 15-inch diagonal LCDs (liquid crystal displays) with an intuitive
cursor-controlled human-machine graphical interface to provide pilots a truly
advanced way of managing flight functions, aircraft systems, operational
information and planning, maintenance trouble-shooting and reporting, and even
optional head-up and head-down SVS and EVS (synthetic and enhanced vision
system) flight guidance systems.
Rockwell Collins also will provide the MRJ's communication, navigation, surveillance systems, its EICAS
(engine indication and crew alerting system), and FMS (flight management system)
with graphical flight planning, as well as WAAS/LPV (wide area augmentation
system/ localizer performance with vertical guidance) and RNP (required
