Maule Air Offering Forward.Vision EVS Maule Air is offering Forward.Vision EVS (enhanced vision system) as a new option on its full line of aircraft and as a retrofit on existing models. The EVS-100 option uses a FLIR (forward looking infrared) camera and a head-down TFT (thin film transistor) LCD (liquid crystal display) to provide the pilot with real-time imaging in smoke, dust, haze, and of course at night. Since it clearly shows clouds, terrain and fixed obstacles, it can help a pilot from inadvertently entering instrument conditions, or colliding with ground obstructions, while flying at night. It can make ground operations safer in those conditions also by clearly depicting ground personnel, vehicles and animals, as well as taxiways and runways. 04-06-2008. |
