Lynx Aviation to use ARINC's Datalink and Ops Services
New regional airline, Lynx Aviation, will use ARINC's
datalink and Internet -based operational control messaging system when it
begins operations this fall.
Lynx, a subsidiary of Frontier Airlines Holdings,
contracted for ARINC's
GLOBALink VHF datalink to communicate with its flight crews and
OpCenter message management system for its dispatchers. The carrier will
also use ARINC's
air/ground domestic voice and
D-ATIS (digital-automatic terminal information service).
OpCenter translates datalink messages into readable
text, with store-and-forward ability. Because it is Web-based, it eliminates
the need for server-based message systems. 06-09-2007. |
