Light Blue Optics to Jointly Develop New Displays with Thales Light Blue Optics (LBO) has agreed to provide Thales with engineering samples of its miniature laser projection system as part of a collaboration to produce advanced cockpit displays. According to LBO, its patented holographic laser projection technology delivers large, full-color, high-quality video images in focus at all distances - even on curved or angled surfaces. Dr. Edward Buckley, LBO's director of business development and co-founder said the technology provides a range of benefits including "exceptional levels of brightness and a robust, lightweight optical architecture that is highly tolerant to a range of micro-display defects." 05-13-2007. |
