Las Vegas McCarran to Use Era's Flight Tracking to Update FIDS

Las Vegas McCarran has selected Era's multilateration system to provide real-time flight arrival and tracking information for the airport's FIDS (flight information display system).

McCarran had previously developed its own FIDS system, and while it worked, flight information updates were often delayed at their source, which considerably reduced their accuracy.  The accurate surveillance and flight track information of Era's MSS should help McCarran officials solve the problem.  07-29-2007.
