L-3 Completes Acquisition of Electro-Optical Systems L-3 Communications says it has completed the acquisition of Northrop Grumman's Electro-Optical Systems (EOS). The acquired business, renamed L-3 EOS, provides night vision technology and electro-optical products for military, commercial and public safety customers. A number of its products have their genesis in Litton Industries, which was acquired by Northrop in April 2001. These include inertial navigation systems, inertial reference units, flight management systems, GPS sensors, satellite navigation systems, and fiber optic AHRS (attitude heading reference system). 04-26-2008. |
