JetBlue Renews and Expands Use of Sabre's Operational Solutions
JetBlue Airways is
expanding it use of applications from Sabre Airline Solutions to help
optimize its flight operations, crew management and resource management
capabilities. This follows JetBlue's decision to participate in the Sabre
Travel Network global distribution system (GDS).
Besides renewing its
commitment to Sabre's
Flight Control Suite and Dispatch Manager, which is part of Sabre's
AirOps Suite, JetBlue also added functions to its Sabre
Streamline Resource Management Suite.
Flight Control includes
Sabre's FliteTrac system, which JetBlue has interfaced with its CRS
(computer reservation system) to graphically display real-time flight information with its customized colors to indicate flight status. The
system interfaces with other JetBlue systems to process complete flight
movement messages with all relevant data on origin and destination; aircraft
identification, flight number and date; estimated and actual times; fuel
status; and customer lists.
JetBlue also renewed
Sabre's CrewQual and CrewTrac systems as well as CrewTrac Voice, CrewTrac
Web and FliteTrac Web, which are other Flight Control suite products.
The airline uses Sabre's
Dispatch Manager to help develop and optimize flight plans and performance
data, and to support new route planning and aircraft requirements.
Sabre's Streamline
integrated suite is meant to help optimize staffing levels, build rosters
based on user-defined restraints, automate employee administration tasks and
provide decision support on the day of operation. In order to increase its
capabilities, JetBlue added Sabre's Streamline StaffPlan, RosterMaker,
StaffAdmin and StaffManager systems to its application's suite that already
included Streamline GatePlan and GateManager. 12-13-2006. |
