Japan Airlines Selects the Thales IFE for New B-787s Japan Airlines selected Thales TopSeries IFE (in-flight entertainment) system for its new B-787s that will begin arriving in mid 2008. Although few details are being announced yet, Thales says JAL's system will offer its Dreamliner passengers larger in-seat monitor displays, and will feature the new Thales passenger control unit with a new slim design. The airline previously selected the Thales MDDS (multi-media digital distribution system) for its B-747-400s in the late 1990s. 04-22-2007. |
