India Selects COMSOFT's Aeronautical Message Handling System
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has selected COMSOFT's AMHS (aeronautical
message handling system) including ATN (aeronautical telecommunication network)
routers and terminals at Mumbai Airport.
COMSOFT's AMHS technology, called
AIDA-NG (aeronautical integrated data exchange agent - next generation),
provides standard routing functions for AFTN (aeronautical fixed
telecommunication network), CIDIN (common ICAO interchange network) and SITA
messages, such as NOTAMs (notices to airmen), flight plans and meteorological
data, used by air traffic control, airlines, airports and other aviation
entities.
The contract agreement calls for the system to become operational at Mumbai by early
2008. The training of the staff will be conducted at COMSOFT's training
facilities in Germany.
Besides the Mumbai project, AAI is planning to undertake further AMHS implementations
throughout India. 07-30-2007. |
