IS&S Receives STC for B-757 Display System

The FAA has issued a STC (supplemental type certification) to Innovative Solutions & Support (IS&S) for a more comprehensive B-757 flat panel display system.

According to IS&S, its Cockpit/IP (information portal) system offers AMLCDs (active matrix liquid crystal displays) for its primary flight and navigation instruments (PFD and ND), as well as multi-function (MFD) capabilities.

IS&S also is offering an optional class-3 EFB (electronic flight bag) with Jeppesen electronic navigation charts, which incorporate real-time, own-ship position information both in flight and on the ground.  The system uses the aircraft's MFD to display its information.

The B-757 STC complements IS&S's existing STC for B-767s.  01-31-2007.
