Hong Kong to Trial Barco's Arrival Management Software Hong Kong's Civil Aviation Department (CAD) will evaluate Barco's AMS (arrival metering and sequencing) application for a six-month trial period. The system will be installed by the end of this year. AMS is part of Barco's OSYRIS COTS (commercial-off-the-shelf product) suite, which Barco will customize to conform to the operational procedures and specific airspace structure of Hong Kong's FIR (flight information region). Barco expects to complete the installation of the system at Hong Kong by the end of this year, and will provide on-site support service during a six-month evaluation and trial period. The airport will likely put the system into operational use after successful completion of the trial. 10-29-2007. |
