Hong Kong Express Selects AD Aerospace Cockpit Door Monitoring

Hong Kong Express Airways' new B-737-800s will be delivered with AD Aerospace's CDMS (cockpit door monitoring system) installed.

The FlightVu system consists of CCTV (closed circuit television) cameras linked to an LCD monitor mounted in the cockpit pedestal to provide the pilots with real-time video of the area outside the cockpit door, including the gallery area.  The system has infrared illuminators to ensure visibility even when the cabin lights are extinguished.

The airline will take delivery of seven B-737s by the end of 2007 with the system fitted by Aircraft Engineering & Installation Services Inc. (AEI).  02-07-2007.
