Herculeze Offering More Reliable Headphone Connectors Herculeze Connectors says it has a high-tech replacement for traditional passenger entertainment headphone jacks that are prone to damage and frequent failure. The company says its BreakFree connectors have a service life more than five times longer than conventional ones, because they use rare-earth magnets instead of pins and sockets. According to Wikipedia, rare-earth magnets are made from alloys of rare earth elements which are substantially stronger than those made of ferrite or alnico materials. 06-04-2007. |
