GECAT and SAT Launch Web-Based Training for Embraer 170/190
GE Commercial Finance - Aviation Training (GECAT) and Swiss Aviation Training (SAT) are offering computer-based training (CBT) over the Web for Embraer 170 and 190 pilots, maintenance technicians, flight attendants and dispatchers.
The idea is to lower training costs. Christian Walgenbach, who is SAT's vice president for marketing and sales, says his company believes that delivering training to customer sites worldwide is one way to do this.
The service, which is offered through SAT, can include various levels of support including access to qualified instructors.
Both GECAT and SAT are authorized training providers for Embraer 170s and 190s. SAT will have the first Embraer 170 simulator in Europe installed in their Zurich training center this coming August 2005, and GECAT will install an Embraer 170 simulator in London in mid-2006. 04-09-2005.
