GECAT Adds A320 Simulator and TRTO in Hong Kong

GE Commercial Aviation Training (GECAT) has added a level D A320 full flight simulator in Hong Kong that is fitted with an Evans and Sutherland EP 1000 visual system, and is launching a type rating training organization (TRTO) at its Hong Kong training center.

GECAT says 26 European States have developed the TRTO structure under the JAA (Joint Aviation Authority), and the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department has been proactive in supporting its TRTO development during the past nine months.

The first A320 TRTO courses are now available, and A330/A340 courses together with related CCQ (cross-crew qualification) will be added later.  09-19-2005.
