FAA Renews JDA's Certification Consultant Agreement
The FAA has renewed JDA's Certification Consultant Agreement which allows it to assist new carriers with
the process of becoming certified under Part 121 of U.S. FARs (federal air
regulations), which covers airlines. JDA's FAA recognition runs through October 2009.
In October 2005,
JDA became one of only two aviation consulting firms to first meet the
qualifications necessary to be recognized in this way.
In addition to having highly experienced personnel, JDA uses a proprietary procedure, called CertAssure, to
guide applicants through the certification process. The procedure also is used
by JDA to help existing air carriers implement the FAA ATOS (air transport
oversight system) and SMS (safety management system) programs.
JDA says it was instrumental in getting both Republic Airlines and Lynx Aviation (Frontier Express) certified
as Part 121 air carriers under this program, and has also supported Piedmont
Airlines, CJ Systems Aviation Group, and Sentient Flight Group with their ATOS/
system safety implementations. 03-11-2008. |
